Memberships and Donations

This year marks 57 years for the Museum and 25 years for the Trolley. Memberships and donations play a vital role in preserving and bringing to life the rich history of this community and county.

In 1968 a group of Canadian County citizens saw the need to preserve the heritage of Canadian County for present and future generations. Out of this the Canadian County Historical Society was formed, which manages the Canadian County Museum. Today the Museum Complex includes the Heritage Express Trolley along with seven historical buildings, plus the Red Barn, Caboose & Tender. The buildings, artifacts and trolley require continuous upkeep. It is through membership and donations that this is accomplished.
