In 1909, the El Reno Interurban operated a trolley line through the streets of downtown El Reno. Over the years it changed hands and was part of a system that provided service from El Reno to Oklahoma City for 30 years. In 2001 the Canadian County Historical Society and the City of El Reno acquired a 1924 Brill Streetcar, had it refurbished and brought to El Reno.
